Dear reader,
It has been a great pleasure writing for you over the past year and a half, and I intend to continue publishing on An Educated Guess in years to come. However, the current semester brings challenges that require my full attention, and so I have decided to take a hiatus.
As I mentioned a little while ago, I am writing a book about uncertainty with Atlas Contact publishers in Amsterdam. This has been going really well and I can’t wait to share it with you soon. To get it done, I need to make room for a final writing push over the next several months.
In addition, I am working to secure funding to set up my own research lab at the nexus between neuroscience and public health. I need to give this my all to ensure that I can continue working on precisely the kinds of questions that fuel An Educated Guess. My grant deadline is in June—wish me luck!
I hope to get back in the Substack saddle this summer and hope you will stay with me as a free subscriber until then. I am turning off paid subscriptions for now and will issue refunds for the remainder of all paid subscriptions. If you would like to, you can pledge for your support to return when I am able to offer you the consistent content you deserve.
Thank you and see you next season!
~ Jeroen
Good luck!!!
